Milking robot is a dream-come-true for the farmers
who have long yarned for "the completely
automated milking". Astronaut of Lely, Holland,
we have introduced for the last 6 years, is exactly
such a breakthrough product. We have kept our
eyes on this milking machine since early 90s when
it was still unknown entity. That is why we could
take a very quick action to introduce the Astronaut,
as soon as it became practical.
In December 1997, we installed the Japan's first
Astronaut, which changed the conventional concept
of milking. Dairy farmers became free from the
strain of having to milk at certain times of the
day. Cows became free to decide whether or not
they want to be milked as well.
Cornes AG is boosting its sales figures of the
Astronaut year by year, with a package of 24-hours
after-the-sales service. Japan's dairy farming
is surely on its way of realizing its dream and
shifting into the next generation.
