5. Teat sensor, cleaning brush, teat cup 10. Cabinet (Vacuum pump, Wash tank, etc)

1.MPK (Milking Point Keyboard)
By means of function keys of MPK, a number of robot functions can be operated manually. Various data including milk yield and conductivity or feeding data can be seen on the display while the cow is milked. If you connect it to Astronaut’s exclusive PC, you can also look at the cow’s disease data and breeding data.

2.MRCP (Robot Control Panel)
This panel is vital for the farmers. Farmers use it everyday for the operations and settings of the machine. If a new cow is to be milked by Astronaut for the first time, you can operate assisted milking using this MRCP.

3.Feed funnel
Feed funnel is a place of Astronaut to provide the cow with the ration of mixed feed. It is possible to provide up to 2 types of feed by adding extra feed hopper(s).

4.Arm
Inside the arm there are many kinds of important control systems. So frame of the arm is made to be strong enough no to be damaged even when stamped by the cow. Arm is the component to milk the cow on behalf of man’s hands. What makes it possible is the high-precise technique of following the cow’s movement. Also, it has a built-in safety device so that cows won’t be hurt and can spend safely in the box.

5.Milking component (teat sensor, cleaning brush, teat cup)
In this component, there are brushes to clean the teats, sensor (the eye of Astronaut) to scan the teats, and teat cups to milk the cow. Cleaning brushes rotate and clear the teats off the dirt. They also have the function to stimulate the cow’s udder, inducing cow’s comfortable milk secretion. Teat sensor searches and pinpoints each teat by using laser. It is more accurate in locating the teat than using supersonic waves. Teat cups are connected to the teats one by one and removed from the teats, again, one by one. With this process, incidence of over-milking is reduced, compared to using conventional milkers.

6.milk jar
Milk taken from each quarter will be first sent to the milk jar where the quantity is measured accurately by the sensor.

7.milk pump
After the measurement of milk quantity, milk pump sends the milk from the milk jar to the bulk tank.

8.milk filter
Milk filter removes the dirt and prevents the milk quality from downgrade.

9.MQC (Milk Quality Control)
MQC is equipped with sensors that check the condition of milk. Through Astronaut’s exclusive PC, you can look at milk quality data. When MQC finds any abnormality in milk condition, it will inform the users by displaying the report on PC’s screen.

10.Cabinet (Vacuum pump, Wash tank, etc)
In the cabinet, there are many kinds of equipment, including vacuum pump which provides necessary vacuum for milking and water heating tank which prepares cleaning water to wash inside the tube between milker and bulk tank. Astronaut is rather a compact construction as a milking system packed with all the necessary equipments. Its peripheral equipments are also simple and compact.
